Chi vede i tuoi dati nell'app

cancelliamo profilo, foto, persone assistite, richieste, conversazioni e messaggi (anche per l'altra persona della chat), blocchi e notifiche;
le recensioni che hai scritto restano, senza il tuo nome, firmate «Utente Curo»; le segnalazioni che hai fatto restano senza il tuo nome;
I tuoi diritti
Privacy policy

In short
We use your data to run Curo, that is, to put you in touch with people looking for or offering help near you.
We don't sell your data and there are no ads in the app.
Other people see your first name with the initial of your surname and your area (the postcode), never your address. Your number stays hidden until you choose to share it in a chat.
We only collect usage statistics if you allow it. You can change your mind and delete your account whenever you like, right from the app.
Your mobile number, which we verify with a code sent by text message.
Whether you are looking for or offering help, your first name and surname, and the postcode of your area.
Your app preferences, such as text size and notifications.
If you offer help
Sex, date of birth (you must be at least 18) and nationality.
Your photo, if you choose to add one.
The services you offer, how you work, the languages you speak, how far you travel and your availability.
If you are looking for help
The people, pets or home you need help for: name, relationship to you, age range and sex; species and size for pets; size for the home. We don't ask for photos or surnames.
The requests you publish: type of help, needs picked from a list, days and time slots, start date, preferred language and the notes you write.
If you enter a relative's details, make sure you are allowed to and let them know. For children and teenagers we only ask for first name, age range and sex, and their name is never shown to people offering help.
When you use the app
Chat: the messages you write and, if you choose to share it, your number.
Reviews, reports and blocks: ratings and comments in reviews, reason and note of reports, the people you block.
Location: only if you tap «Usa la mia posizione» (use my location). We use an approximate location to find the nearest postcode and we don't store it: we only store the postcode.
Notifications: the code needed to send notifications to your phone and the list of notifications sent.
Subscription, once introduced: status, plan and dates. Payment is handled by Apple or Google: we never see your card details.
Usage statistics, only if you allow it: what you do in the app, such as which screen you open or whether you publish a request, linked to an internal code of your account. Never the texts you write, your name or your number.
Errors: when the app crashes or fails we record what happened, the phone model, the app version and the internal code of your account, without the content you write.
Health information
Some needs you can pick, such as «Ricordare le medicine» (remembering medicines) or «Aiuto per lavarsi e vestirsi» (help with washing and dressing), and the notes you write may say something about the health of the person you care for. We only use them to show them to people offering help. Describe what is needed, not the diagnosis, and don't write health information in notes or messages.
Why we process it
To run Curo: account, profile, search, requests, chat, reviews and notifications. This is needed to provide the service you ask for when you accept the Terms (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
For safety: verifying your number, limiting abuse, handling reports and blocks. We do this to provide the service and in our legitimate interest in protecting the people who use Curo (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
To improve the app with usage statistics: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). We ask you the first time you open the app and, until you say yes, we collect nothing. You can change your mind at any time in Impostazioni (Settings) → «Privacy e sicurezza» → «Statistiche anonime»; withdrawing consent does not affect what was collected before.
To fix errors: legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable (Art. 6(1)(f)).
To answer when you write to us, and to comply with the law or defend our rights (Art. 6(1)(b), 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f)).
We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell it and we don't make automated decisions with legal effects on you.
Who sees your data in the app
If you offer help, your card is visible to everyone, including people without an account: first name with surname initial, sex, age range, photo, services, how you work, languages, average rating, postcode and availability. Your full profile, with nationality, language levels, calendar, reviews and maximum distance, is visible to people with an account. Nobody sees your date of birth.
If you are looking for help, you don't appear in any list. Your requests are visible to Curo users with the area and a description of the person cared for without their name, for example «Signora L., 80–84 anni». Your first name with surname initial, the needs and the notes are visible to people offering help who have completed their profile.
Nobody sees your address: we only use the postcode, and on the map areas are approximate circles.
Your number stays hidden until you tap «Condividi il mio» (share mine) in a chat. From then on that person can see it, and you can't hide it again.
Reviews show the first name and surname initial of the person who wrote them.
Providers who help us
To run Curo we use some providers, who process data on our behalf and following our instructions.

Twilio
Sending the verification code by text message. United States.

The App Store and Google Play process download and payment data as independent controllers, under their own privacy policies.
When a provider processes data in the United States, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for certified providers, or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
We keep your data as long as you have an account. You can delete it at any time in Impostazioni (Settings) → «Elimina il mio account». Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone:
we delete your profile, photo, the people you care for, requests, conversations and messages (also for the other person in the chat), blocks and notifications;
reviews you wrote remain, without your name, signed «Utente Curo»; reports you made remain without your name;
if you offer help, we also delete the reviews you received.
Usage statistics and error data are kept by PostHog and Sentry for no longer than [TO BE COMPLETED: months]. Purchase history is kept by RevenueCat and the stores for legal obligations. Database backups are overwritten within [TO BE COMPLETED: days].
Your rights
You can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format (portability) and stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent to statistics at any time.
You can do many of these things yourself in the app: edit your profile, turn off statistics and delete your account. For everything else, and to change your phone number, write to support@curo.family. We reply within one month.
The curo.family website uses no cookies, no statistics and no third-party services: even the fonts are hosted on our site. We remember the language you choose only in your browser, and this information is not sent to us. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, records technical data about visits, such as the IP address, for the security and operation of its network.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top. If the changes are significant we tell you in the app.
This is a translation. If the two versions differ, the Italian version prevails.
